Chance Glassworks, Smethwick

Appointed as Project Manager by Chance Heritage Trust to bring forward a heritage led regeneration of the former Chance Brothers Glassworks site in Smethwick.

Invigour was appointed as Project Manager by Chance Heritage Trust to support the heritage- led regeneration of the former Chance Brothers Glassworks site in Smethwick. The initial work focused on developing feasibility plans for a first phase of redevelopment, which later expanded into a broader feasibility and options appraisal for the entire site following a successful Community Renewal Fund grant application.

Working closely with the Chair and Executive Team of Trustees, Invigour procured the necessary resources to deliver key outputs, including masterplan designs and a Green Book-compliant business case. Additionally, Invigour developed a first-phase new-build affordable housing scheme in partnership with a Residential Provider to enhance the project’s overall viability.

This work successfully delivered the outputs required under the funding agreement, enabling the Trust to secure further funding to advance the scheme.
